My Suppliers - Kitchens

I'd love to share with you why I have chosen these 2 kitchen supply companies for my clients.

Second Nature

The first kitchen company that I started to work with was Second Nature. I chose them because they offer a wide range of different styles, materials and price points from sleek and modern to traditional and cosy. They also have a fantastic showroom in Newton Aycliffe that isn't open to the general public, but I can take you as part of the design process. They are award winning and known as one of the leading independent kitchen brands in the UK. They also supply a wide range of solid kitchen worktops including brands such as Corian and Silestone. They stock a wide range of internal cabinet storage solutions which are highly functional and help you make the most of the kitchen. The internal cabinets are all handmade by local company EC Cabinets so can be altered to fit your space, they are supplied ready built unless they are too large to fit.

British Standard Cupboards

The second kitchen company that I have started to offer to my clients is British Standard Cupboards by Plain English. I was drawn to them partly because I just love the aesthetics of their kitchens, but also because they offer quite a different type of kitchen to Second Nature. These cabinets are handmade in Suffolk and come unpainted for you to choose your own paint and handles allowing you to have more creativity over the final appearance. They are made from poplar and birch and come fully constructed as one piece. They are slightly chunkier so work best in slightly larger kitchens and don't have the internal storage solutions, but they will last longer than a lifetime and can be rubbed down and repainted as often as you like. They recommend a solid wood worktop, but I can combine a stone/composite worktop from Second Nature if you prefer.

Hopefully that provides you with a taster of why I have chosen to work with these two very different companies, do explore their websites to find out more and get in touch if you’d like to arrange a meeting with me.
